Mercedes Benz India launches Young Star Driver Program

Mercedes Benz India launches the 2013 Mercedes Benz Performance Drive Program in which they have various events and programs which also includes the Young Star Driver Program to train and hone young India racers between age 15 to 25 and AMG Driving Academy for all ages.

Mercedez Benz Performance Drive website stated:

"Catch them young and train them to fire on all fours – that’s the single point objective of the Young Star Driver program. It’s an opportunity for young and aspiring drivers to get trained under race–tested, expert professionals on race tracks at a very young age and embark into the world of professional motor racing. Mercedes–Benz is creating this exclusive platform to spot, nurture and launch young stars who can be future race champions. Open for future stars between 15 years to 25 years, this unique event will be conducted in association with the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI). After a nationwide evaluation process based on different criterions the top 12 drivers will be invited for a 2 day program at the Buddh International Circuit. Here, the young speedsters will be tested for their motorsport acumen. Top 3 drivers will be selected for first the Advanced Training in Germany then the PRO training and finally the Masters SLS AMG GT3 Training.

Young aspiring drivers between 15–18 (holding a racing driver´s license) and 18–25years (holding a normal license), will be trained under race–tested, expert professionals on the track to embark into the world of professional motor racing.
This unique event will be conducted in association with the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI)." 

The Schedule for the Young Star Driver Program is yet to be annouced while interested participants holding a valid FMSCI Racing License between age 15–25 are expected to register themselves for the program through the website.

Mercedes Benz India has also launched AMG Driving Academy to train motoring enthusiasts of all ages with high powered cars with different levels starting from Basic, Advanced, Pro and finally the road to train for the AMG SLS Masters GT3 in Germany.
